I have ptsd (simple-complex is my description of it) with diagnosis approx. a year ago. I recognize that I've lived with some of the symptoms for a good part of my life, since childhood. As I have a history of various traumas, including the event which pushed me over the edge and into ptsd, how might emdr proceed? Would processing the event which seems to have triggered the full-blown ptsd be the first step? With multiple and varied trauma what might be best?
