This forum has so much on EMDR, If you read some of the post most of your 'unasked' questions might already be answered.

As for finding an EMDR trained Therapist in your area, you need to contact the EMDR inst.(www.emdr.com) and they will send you a list of Lisenced Therapist trained in EMDR. ALSO are you already in therapy? Maybe your therapist knows of other therapist that do use EMDR. That is how I was connected with my EMDR Therapist.

I have PTSD too and a history of sex abuse as well. and EMDR has been a great help to me.
