Re:In search of A EMDR Therapist

Thank you, I have tried these suggestions, in fact that is where I started. The list seems to be out-dated, or the therapist are not accepting new clients for EMDR. The facilitator in this area is not even seeing clients at the moment, he is just treaching and doing other professional 'stuff'. I never even got to talk to him, as he never returned my phone call. I only learned of his current activities when I happened to reach another therapist in his office.

I have spoken to a number of seemingly wonderful therapist and more than a few tried to help me by talking with colleagues and such, and calling me back, but in the end it is the same.

There is one hope. An LCISW who is also an expression art therapist is currently finishing her level one training work and will be taking the level 2 training soon. She said I could call her back in a few months (Feb or so) if I have not found someone as of then. I think for now I will just sit on my hands and wait.
