Re:Insurance Coverage and Affordability

My experiance With Blue Cross, Cigna, and Pilgrams,(inthe East) is that they are willing and do pay for EMDR sessions. My first INS plan was an HMO and my casemanager, was the one how had reccomended me to a Therapist she knew that did EMDR. My sessions were all for 90 mins and paid at the full rate allowed by my policies. My Therapist charges $110.00 per session, But I believe the UCR is now at somewhere close to only actually being paid at $66.00 per hour (45 mins) I have an 80/20 copay so I pay my Therapist 13.20 for each session and 26.40 for the sessions when we use EDMR and go for 90 mins. Getting the ICP (?) codes correct for a 90 min sessions was difficult, but once the the problem was resolved the billing process got easier. ( Well as easy as it ever get's with managed care)

I also read a new article that said Kaiser Permanete on the (west cost) Is also in favor of this treatment 100%.
