Insurance Coverage and Affordability

I am a graduate student researching EMDR for the purpose of writing a paper. I have found many interesting articles on the subject, and am now interested enough in EMDR to continue my inquiry further following this paper. However a couple of questions that came up while browsing this forum (which by the way has been very informative)were: (1)what stance have most insurance companies taken on providing coverage for EMDR treatments? (2)How affordable are EMDR treatments? What would an average session cost? I'm trying to settle the cost/benefit analysis in my own mind. Thanks for any info! JJW
