I think maybe you might be looking at the "debating" issue from a limited perspective. A suitable analogy might be the old arguement about the glass being either half empty or half full. That argeument can and does go in circles. Needless to say, I have not yet completed my Master's: so I have an excuse for being a bit "simple" here.
A different way of seeing things might be that one simply is using the wrong glass. Oops. It has nothing to do with the issue of arguing who is right or who is wrong.
Similarly, the issue of debate, here, may be one in which different issues within the practicing of EMDR are addressed and rigorously discussed. Controversy over whether or not "EMDR works" can be left to the apes (see Dr. Francine Shapiro's earlier interview).
Or, we all can just sit up straight in our suits and dresses, keep both feet on the floor, and hope nobody farts (oops, s'cuse me).
Cindy.
