I am about to embark on treatment on a young girl of Moroccan and Caucasian parents who has had 2 major gynae procedures for bicornuate uterus necessitating removal of an ovary and fallopian tube. He trauma was worsened by having an internal examination without adequate explanation. She has previous trauma from age 2, 3 and 4 involving trips to the emergency dept. Any ideas on which trauma to process first? I also have a machine which allows for tactile and/or auditory bls. We have developed a protocol for EMDR use in children which is now being translated into several languages of those countries affiliated to EMDR Europe. I would be interested to hear from practitioners working with children and especially any who have dealt with girls traumatized by emergency medical or surgical procedures.
