Thanks for the citations. I will look into it. Point taken... sometimes there is no "volition". On the other hand we often possess more "volition" than we are in the practice of utilizing. I was thinking specifically of people who repetively are traumatized. People in abusive marriages, for instance, need to be reminded of their lack of volition as children but their capacity for volition NOW, as adults. So my point was to contrast adult experiences against adult experiences... within context, of course... if one is talking about adult onset trauma (terrorism, for instance) then the point is moot. There is no control and not having control is a valid and useful PC. Are you a professional, btw? Thanks again for the citations.
