I want to repeat something I have said many times here. I am not providing specific advice to specific individuals. As I always say, I don't have nearly enough information to make recommendations. I don't know what happened in a specific case or matter. I don't know whether a protocol, whether supported by research or not, tends to be beneficial or not to a given client. I am not taking a position on the DNMS at all, because I don't know how it works, whether it has been researched. I would simply urge anyone who is seeking treatment for DID to make sure that treatment is what is recommended by the ISSD, or consistent with its principles. And I'd encourage anyone seeing EMDR treatment to mjake sure that their therapist is appropriately credentialed by EMDRIA and using the appropriate protocol, whether standard or dissociative or otherwise.
