Dr. Inobe: Again, thanks for your response. One person I spoke with about finding the right therapist for me said (quite accurately, I think) that I will never find the perfect match because there are too many areas of expertise that I need to have in that one person, and no one person is going to know about/be good at all the things I ideally need him/her to know about/be good at (trichotillomania is in some ways the least of my worries, although it is a significant and longstanding problem). I have been told that some therapists refer clients out for EMDR to someone else who is more expert in it while remaining the primary therapist. Do you have any thoughts on this sort of arrangement?
