OK this discussion forum is fine. What I and I believe many other interested readers of this forum would be interested in, are specific scientific studies (or even one) which substantiate, specifically, that EMDR is effective for treating trauma, and that it is not effective when eye movement is not used. In other words, don't point us to a study which has either nothing to do with EMDR or was not written to study EMDR. I'm looking for a study created to test the effectiveness of EMDR. Can you name any specific EMDR studies? Either an author, a web site, publication, etc? It would seem that there would be at least one, since Dr. Shaprio has been selling her EMDR training for a decade. Talk is fine, proof or substantiation is much better.
