I hope you won't mind if I interrogate you just a little further on this issue. Specifically, are there ANY parameters of EMDR protocol that individual researchers could alter which, in the absence of supporting evidence, that would not be a violation of the protocol? More specifically, is there any treatment parameter that a researcher could change based on his/her own discretion that would not justify giving them a 0 on the Gold Standards Scale?
