It is not true that logically you can quit doing eye movements if fixed eye conditions actually engage in some degree of eye movement. There is a difference between a fixed gaze and the way eyes move during standard talk therapy. Rather, we should be concerned about confounding factors associated with subtle eye movements in fixed gaze conditions, and should be concerned with whether dual attention, as in fixed gaze or other conditions, is sufficient for processing to be facilitated or whether it has to be bilateral stim.
