I have heard also that emdr can be used to facilitate integration, by processing the traumas that the different parts hold, once the client is ready for emdr and is working with a practitioner who is highly skilled with both DID and emdr. And I think imagery can be used during emdr to help with integration as well, if the parts choose it, but I don't know a lot about that. emdr was not used to facilitate my integration - it just kind of happened. I know all the things my alters knew - they also had blocked memories and now their blocked memories (or fragments of memories) are mine - much in the same way that non-multiple trauma survivors also often have blocked memories or partial memories of abuse.
