Just wanted to tell you that I also experience a level of dissociation and so some ego state work has been/is being done. I don't lose time and so I am not DID (use to be called MPD), but I shift into different ego states and I know I am doing that. It has been a bit frightening at times and I've almost quit therapy because of it, still creates some problems for me. So, don't be too afraid. Take the time you need for yourself, go at a pace you sense is right for you, ask lots of questions and don't give up even when you feel like doing so. I understand what is happening but I still get upset about it and scared. Thankfully I have a great therapist who allows me to make decisions on what I want to do and who helps me pace things. So take care of you and don't worry that you are crazy or anything. (I laugh when I write that because I go through these phases when I think I am crazy and have to get that fear out of me once again. Then, I'm okay for a while and, then, I go back to thinking "Am I crazy?") Good luck and be good to you.
