Sorry I didn't see this post up here until today. Although we don't do individual case consultations here, I will make some general comments that would apply to anyone, and may or may not be relevant to you: Increased dizziness could be related to -- or independent of -- EMDR treatment. It could be related if the material being accessed had a component, for example of a memory, that included dizziness. It would tend to be a transitory thing however. Dizziness might also be related to medication or its discontinuation, or some other medical condition. A medical doctor should review this. Dyslexia is not a condition that just starts suddenly, although there are some medical conditions that may have verbal/reading comprehension dysfunction as a sudden onset symptom. For that, a person should check with their medical doctor, or a specialist like a neurologist. The only way I can see sudden onset of dyslexic-like symptoms related to EMDR is if the material tapped into a child part of self that didn't read well. Using the conference room technique to explore this possibility might rule this in or out. Talking to your therapist about the above possibilities may help figure it out; a medical specialist should also be consulted.
