I have use EMDR on many clients, and have noticed a marked slow down of the rate of processing in people who are on medications. I try to do the EMDR before they start on an antidepressant for example, and when they start one the difference is pronounced. For some people they need the medication to help with their depression, so the Emdr process takes longer to work through. I've also noticed this same effect with people on strong pain medication. So I would assume that Marijuana would also have a slowing effect. Hope this helps clarify.
