Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. It made me feel better to know that i am not totally alone with this experience. The therapist i was seeing knew all about the different parts. In fact, she knew more than i knew! It was nice to have someone understand and help us through all the chaos. Now that we don't have a therapist, we are working very hard at locking everything back up again, which is sort of a shame, since it took sooo long to get things partially unlocked to begin with. But that is what we need to do in order to keep our sanity. It makes sense that some parts would object and would want to continue moving forward, hence the lightbar and tone "flashbacks." i put the book you mentioned on hold at the library. Looking foward to reading it! Thanks for the recommendation, and again, thanks for responding. :o)
