Although there may be a role for EMDR for someone with suicidal thoughts, it wouldn't be a first step by any means. In this forum, we can't do one-on-one case consultations, only can provide general information. Clearly, though, what's is absolutely necessary for anyone with constant suicidal thoughts it to tell their therapist immediately. The therapist is the best one to help find an avenue of treatment, which may include many components (for some people medications, for some people hospitalization, for some people the therapy itself can produce the relief needed). Please tell your therapist right away.
