Re: clinicians

There is an extensive data base of trained clinicians available through the EMDR Institute (www.emdr.com). However, in case your clinician did not take that program, make sure they are fully trained in an another EMDRIA approved program. The EMDRIA information is available through www.emdria.org. Both organizations can help you make sure that your clinician is appropriately trained. Unfortunately, some clinicians have also been deceived into thinking that the program they enrolled in was approved so make sure to ask.

The certification procedures have just begun. But your clinician will only be eligible if they took an approved program.
