EMDR is useful for experiential contributors to psychological problems. If the child has a number of humiliation experiences, or experiences contributing to feelings of failure, etc. attendant to the problem then EMDR can be helpful. It is not going to eliminate the organic deficits. It can help the child learn to compensate and overcome psychological debilitation.
