    Chronic Pain and EMDR
    jlong · 11/24/98 at 8:14 PM ET

I just began EMDR with a much trusted Level II trained therapist. In addition to a Bipolar II diagnosis, I have severe chronic pain due to pseudotumor cerebri. I am particularly interested in the applications of EMDR in chronic pain cases. How can EMDR affect chronic pain?

Also, I want to add that even my first experience with EMDR was very powerful, and though some painful memories have surfaced, I feel a glimmer of hope for the first time in a long time.
