Although I know of no controlled studies on this subject, anecdotally people have been reporting successful use of EMDR with head injuries since the early 1990's. It would resolve the head injury, naturally, but it can help in several ways: 1) working through an adaptive resolution to the fact of having acquired a head injury, 2) decreasing anxiety, shame, depression associated with the head injury, 3) although PTSD is less likely following head injury if there was a loss of consciousness at the time of the head injury, it can still occur in some cases, 4) for some people with mild head injuries, difficulties with multitasking, concentration and attention are relieved with periodically bilateral stimulation to decrease anxiety, which helps with focused attention.
