Borderline Personality Disorder and EMDR risks?

Is there any literature yet reporting either successes or unwanted iatrogenic effects /
decompensation from using EMDR with clients who have borderline traits, eg suicidality,
impulsivity, self-destructive behaviors, severe abandonment fears, etc. I appreciated Dr. Shapiro’s
general cautions about assessing for ego strength, but I’m wondering if any research has been done
on work with clients with relatively fragile egos, that might guide us in this kind of assessment.
