I think that journal is a British one -- and you may be able to access it through Psychlit or the American Psychological Association's PsychInfo, both on the internet. By the way, I found a reference today to an article titled Body dysmorphic disorder: The relationship to obsessive-compulsive disorder, by Brady, K. T., Austin, L., Lydiard, R.B. in the Journal of Nervous & Mental Disease 1990 Aug Vol 178(8), 538-540, which confirmed the similarity to obsessive-compulsive disorder. That article found that some people with BDD respond well to the same medications that people with OCD do. I still think a trial of EMDR couldn't hurt, because then it could, possibly, be cured rather than palliated with meds. You could always go back and try the meds if you needed to.
