I would add several studies to that list: Chemtob, C. M., Nakashima, J., Hamada, R., & Carlson, J. (in press). Brief treatment for elementary school children with disaster-related PTSD: A field study. Journal of Clinical Psychology. Rubin, A., Bischofshausen, S., Conroy-Moore, K., Dennis, B., Hastie, M., Melnick, L., Reeves, D., & Smith, T. (in press). The effectiveness of EMDR in a child guidance center. Research on Social Work Practice. Also unpublished data by S. Wilson, L. Becker & R. Tinker on a controlled treatment study of PTSD with school children. Evidence to date on EMDR with kids is consistent with data on EMDR with adults: that brief EMDR treatment of discrete trauma appears to be rapid and effective, while the data is generally positive but less conclusive re treatment of more chronic/complex trauma. Regarding the specific question of the original poster, there is no controlled research on EMDR with traumatized children under 6 as far as I know. (Nor, as far as I know, is there controlled treatment research on traumatized children under 6 in general.) There have been positive case reports.
