All kidding aside, I think there is a possibility that we could see a positive effect on "traumatized" animals because EMDR seems to work on a physiological level. This would be similar to why EMDR seems to have positive results in very young children who have limited verbal skills. It's not just using eye movement either, it could be tactile, or audio as well. Obviously it would be developmentally impossible to have a young child move their eyes in the same way an adult would, using EMDR. And, I would imagine this would be difficult for bugs as well! (ok a little kidding :))
