sharing emdr information & humanitarian work

I would be interested in any response to these two questions:

is it ethical or apporopriate to share emdr information with someone who has not asked for it? a work colleague was in a terible autor accident that killed one person and resulted in major surgery and recovery for her and her children. i would like to share the sharpiro and forest book on emdr.

second -- are there any emdr humanitarian efforts going on in eastern north carolina? the terrible after effects of hurricane floyd are starting to manifest and people there need help. our state's mental health services can't handle the load or the issues.
