    Re: mindfulness and Buddhism

    Agree wholeheartedly with this connection.The Buddhist (and indeed many spiritual ) paths, suggest the need to "wake up" to reality ,dropping the illusions, arguably schema ,and drop attachment desires e.g. "If I don't get this person/job/career/approval etc. ,I refuse to be happy ."
    This awakening or enlightenment in theory allows human beings to see reality and ,perhaps separately ,their irrational cultural conditioning.
