Re: CT & Medication Compliance

Medication compliance is an area where cognitive-behavioral approaches can offer a lot. My favorite source (both research-based and emminently practical) on this topic is:
- Meichenbaum, D. & Turk, D.C. (1987). Facilitating treatment adherence: A practitioner's guidebook. New York: Plenum.
You can find a briefer, but good, discussion of using CT to enhance compliance in:
- Wright, J.H., Thase, M.E. & Sensky, T. (1993). Cognitive and biological therapies: A combined approach. In: J.H. Wright, M.E. Thase, A.T. Beck & J.W. Ludgate (Eds.) Cognitive therapy with inpatients: Developing a cognitive milieu. New York: Guilford.
