Treating a distressed couple is more than simply doing therapy with two individuals at once. The interactions between the individuals and the dynamics of their relationship can be a bigger problem than either spouse's individual issues. CBT with distressed couples who are dealing with issues of anger, jealousy, and/or infidelity can be particularly intense. Fortunately, clinical innovation and empirical research have led to intervention approaches which can be quite useful. Objectives: Participants will understand behavioral models for intervention with distressed couples, cognitive and behavioral interventions for working with distressed couples, and specific techniques for dealing with anger, jealousy, and infidelity in relationships. N. Olmsted, OH, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., $100 ($90 with group discount). For brochure with details call 216-831-1191 and leave mailing address.
