Thanks for that, though this area is as you mention rather underreflected in the literature. I have encountered of late the Klerman/Weissman Interpersonal therapy inclusion of role transition as one of the four areas of event that are targeted by their therapeutic approach. This focuses on the present manifestations of the adjustment 'disorder' and utilises a psychosocial insight oriented (from reading) approach, the only concern is that in the reading it noted that it wasn't based on any theoretical underpinning (though this would seem unlikely). I am looking at this model to utilise for the particular issue of transition to care for the caregiver.
