The interface between cognition, stress, and biology in Hallucinations
Jim Pretzer · 06/22/03 at 9:46 PM ET

Aaron Beck and Neil Rector (2003) present an interesting Cognitive model of hallucinations (specifically voices) which attempts to integrate a large body of research to explain how biological and cognitive factors interact with stressors to produce and maintain hallucinations. The model is too complex to summarize concisely but it is quite interesting.
