    Obsessions, doubts and worries
    Joop Meijers · 10/18/02 at 8:36 ET

This week one of my patients, an obsessive-compulsive person with problems on the continuum (?) between OCD en extreme doubts/worries asked me how he could distinguish between obsessive thinking ( in his case about wether he had chosen the right profession) and normal doubts ( wether the profession he works in was the right choice).
I would be interested in some comments on this distinction and also on the question to what degree this distinction is useful, clinically speaking.
Thanks for any suggestions and ideas.
