Detained ,long-term patients..setting homework.

Does anybody have experience of setting homework with forensic in-patients?
I do this quite often when doing coping strategy enhancement work or reattributional sessions with paranoid psychotic people.
I find I have to repeat the homework instructions frequently at subsequent meetings .
Anybody like to discuss this?
