Training in Cognitive Therapy via Interactive Videoconferencing
Jim Pretzer · 09/08/01 at 9:21 PM ET

The Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy is now offering intensive training in CT, CBT, and empirically-supported treatment approaches via interactive videoconferencing. A high-speed video link enables us to provide lecture, discussion, audiovisual materials, and videos without the expense of our traveling to your location or your traveling to ours.

For example, we are currently providing a community mental health system in Michigan with an intensive training program in empirically-supported treatments for depression and anxiety disorders. I'm traveling to Michigan for the initial session but the remainder of the six-month program will consist of weekly 90 minute classes delivered over a video link between Cleveland and a community college in their area.

If your organization already has videoconferencing equipment, we should be able to link with you. If you do not already have videoconferencing equipment, you may not need to purchase any. Often it is possible to arrange to use videoconferencing equipment at a local university or community college.
