Re:Training in Cognitive Therapy via Interactive Videoconferencing

We design our programs to meet the needs of your organization. Therefore, the cost would depend on exactly what sort of program you have in mind. If you already have videoconferencing equipment or if you can arrange to use videoconferencing equipment at a local university or community college, training via videoconferencing may well be less expensive than having us fly out for a series of workshops. Contact me (contact info below) and I'll be glad to give you an estimate or develop a complete proposal.

If you need to purchase equipment or use commercial videoconferencing facilities, that increases the costs significantly and it may make more sense to have one of us come to your location to present the program. Whether the program is presented via videoconferencing by our coming to your location to present it, it may be possible to recoup some of your costs by allowing outside mental health professionals to attend and charging them for attending. It is quite possible to make a profit if you want to allow lots of people to attend and publicize the program widely.

As far as times, we would schedule the program at mutually acceptable times. If we travel to your location, it would probably be most economical to present a series of day-long workshops or to present a two-day or three-day intensive program. One advantage of videoconferencing is that it makes it feasible to present the program in shorter weekly sessions which are less disruptive to participants' schedules. It also provides participants with an opportunity to try the interventions and techniques which they are learning and then discuss them during the next session.

If you are interested, I can provide examples of training programs we have presented for a variety of organizations ranging from the Mayo Clinic to a local CMHC. I can also provide participants' evaluations of many of our programs.
