Understanding the Persistence of Depressive and Anxious Thinking
Jim Pretzer · 03/26/01 at 2:52 PM ET

The Winter, 2001 edition of Behavior Therapy has a special series edited by Costas Papageorgiou and Christine Purdon entitled "On Understanding the Persistence of Depressive and Anxious Thinking."

Persistent depressive and anxious thinking (rumination, worry, obsessive thoughts) plays a major role in many emotional disorders. This series of articles presents current theoretical understandings of these cognitions and presents new empirical research into this phenomenon.

    Highly recommended.
