I am happy to announce to creation of a new
forum on BOL
devoted to issues on cognitive therapy. This is the
"meat and
potatoes" of many therapists working under
managed care today. It is also
the treatment of choice
for a wide multitude of disorders, ranging from
clinical
major depression to anxiety disorders.
We are also happy and
proud to have host this forum, Jim Pretzer, Ph.D., director of the
Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy and
an assistant clinical professor
of psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve
University. He worked under
Beck at the University of Pennsyvlania and is
a well-known
author and contributor to the field of cognitive therapy
today.
I look forward to your contributions to this topic. As
background, you may want to view Jim Pretzer's biographical sketch. I will
be here too as will Gil Levin, Behavior
OnLine's Editor and
Publisher. Questions about using the forum software are best
addressed to me on the General Forum.
I am glad you found your
way here and I look forward to our discussion. I would suggest you please
start a
thread
rather than simply replying
to this message. Thanks.
With my best regards,
John Grohol
