After months of trying to get across to the therapist that I didn't think she was listening to me, and being told that I was wrong -- of course she was listening to me -- I finally quit in frustration. Since finances are impossible right now (reality interacting with depression), it's been next to impossible to find access to any therapy. (The last therapist was through the county, after an unsuccessful suicide attempt.) I have now found a non-profit agency not affiliated with the county, and have an appointment with someone there. I'm very cautiously optimistic, after going through similar experiences with three therapists through county. I can write those things here, where I'm completely anonymous. Saying any of that out loud, though, is next to impossible. Printing that out wouldn't help, because I couldn't hand it over to anyone. If not for that, though, your suggestion is a good one. (Sorry to sound like "yes, but") Thank you for your response.
