Dissertation on cyberspace

Hi i am about to start my university dissertation and was wondering if anyone had any tips for me.
I was thinking of doing it about how cyberspace has become a virtual community and yet has so many dangers, for example web terrorism etc.
Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.
