my apologies, I hadn't read your initial post well enough, didn't pay attention to the fact that you had mentioned any research in particular. Question I have now though is how was "self-esteem" defined? Also, If I read you correctly - reviewing journal articles isn't necessarily research on the concept. If the actual research the articles were based on were reviewed then that puts things in a different light. Then, how did these articles/authors of define self-esteem. If I were doing research on the concept of self-esteem it would include for my defintion respect for self and others and from there I would anticipate that such respect would preclude bullying on the part of the person who holds high self-esteem. A person who has a high level of self-importance, in my view and my definition, would not necessarily have respect for self or others. So, I'd like to know the definition used by the researchers and, then, the definitions used in the articles reviewed etc.
