Hi Neeru, I'm sorry I don't have time for a detailed review right at the moment, perhaps in a few days. For now, Noel Brewer at Rutgers has a particularly helpful brief review posted at Amazon. Just briefly, it is intended as a practical discussion and workbook for the methdologies of psych research for a variety of levels. It seems to me, and apparently to some of the other people who reviewed it, a bit difficult for undergrads and probably well suited for grad students and people working in the field, to help them learn or improve critical analysis of journal articles. "Critical Thinking About Research: Psychology and Related Fields," Julian Meltzoff, APA, Washington DC, 1998 (4th ed 2001). ISBN 1557984557 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1557984557/qid=1019047343/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-9444591-7740057 The focus is on detecting and avoiding methodological and design errors, and identifying the right criteria to use in evaluating research. The second half of the book is the best part, a collection of brief, realistic exercises in evaluating journal articles. kind regards, Todd
