I'm not knocking it, just cautioning. Some cases of depression are severe enough to warrant medication, but I still think those are the exception. I am going out on a professional limb here, but I'm going to assert right here and now that alot of the cause of mood disorders are the result of poor food and lack of exercise. I have no evidence, as I have not set up research, but just from observing how our culture runs on fast food and processed food, I wonder how many depressed adults and behavior-disordered children are really running around lacking the nutrients that would make them feel physically and mentally well. I heard a statistic today that the brain burns up 30% of calories consumed. It would stand to reason that getting the right nutrients is essential to good moods.
