Martin, I am enjoying this discourse very much. It helps in fact in validating ideas I've had about the processes in the arts therapies. I have read Pat Allen and some of McNiff. I am planning on attending Pat's workshop in fact, so I can get a hands-on experience, the other side of the couch/chair so to speak. May I ask what your background is? I'm sorry if I'm supposed to know??? Anyway, I would be glad to send you my finished work if you are interested in reading it. I have prefaced it with a history of art and creativity in our culture and how it follows us through the ages. Man persistenly needs to create and so to me this means utilizing art in healing is a more natural and more equal process. I think the arts therapies eliminates some of the imbalances in power that seem a part of traditional therapy. What do you think?
