Thanks for clarifying what creative arts and/or expressive arts therapy is. Many people get confused about expressive arts therapy, wondering what it is exactly. I am one of the executive co-chairs for the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association and faculty member with the Person-Centered Expressive Therapy Institute that Natlie Rogers founded some years ago. I wanted to give you the correct title for Natalie Rogers' book on expressive arts therapy. It's actually titled: "The Creative Connection", and describes quite nicely how one modality can inspire another modality and then move into another, allowing the individual to gain additional insight and understanding about the issue they are exploring. It's similar to the idea of moving thru one layer after another, moving sometimes closer to the core of the issue. This is not always the case, but quite often how the multi-modal approach can be used. Again, I appreciated your well-defined differences of multi-modal approach versus one modality focus with regards to the creative arts therapies.
