"Media Arts In/As Therapy" special issue of AfterImage
    Judy Weiser · 12/05/01 at 12:18 ET

A special double-issue of a monthly periodical called AFTERIMAGE, which
provides "a forum for the discussion and analysis of photography,
independent film and video, alternative publishing and multi-media and
    related fields", has been published.

It features a lot of interesting articles regarding the use of photography, film,
video and related media arts both "as" and "in" therapy.

The articles span the continuum of this field and includes contributions
from both professional therapists using photography as a tool in their
therapeutic process -- and others who are using photography for their own
personal growth and/or self-discovery (or encouraging this in others by
group projects, but not in a therapy setting).

Reviewing the table of contents of this Issue (Vol.29, No.3, November/December 2001),
will illustrate the breadth and depth of the issue (and why it's of use to therapeutic fields) --
and there is a wide range of exciting imagery as well...

Below are various titles (in page order):
