Rina, There has been research done indicating the recidivism rate of inmates who were involved in art therapy while incarcerated is greatly reduced compared to those who had no such art therapy experience.

Also there is a book on art therapy in prisons by an English art therapist - I'll look up details and get back to you or you can contact me back channel at art_tx@earthlink.net.
