Dear Monika, It was great to read your response to my reply. As to your conundrum with sandtray figures.........I have a dear friend who became an art therapist several years before me who loves using sandtray with her clients of all ages, but especially adult cancer patients. Anyway, she makes it a habit to check out all the local yard and garage sales, and thrift shops for interesting objects and old toys. I recently snooped out some great figures at a train set and hobby store. Both she and I agree, however, that some of the best pieces can be made by yourself or an artist who is so inclined. My friend was trained in a graduate program with a Jungian orientation. For a while she made her own archetypal figures (fantastic!) and sold them to other art therapists. I've been encouraging her to get back to it and I must admit I would like to do some myself. So.......if you feel the call yourself, go for it. If not, call on a sculptor pal, or my compadre or MYSELF if you'd like. Feel free to contact me at VeenaCava@aol.com Best wishes, Elissa
