I'm also looking forward to reading your work, Chauncey. Sadly, the old "Theory X/Y" information must not have had much effect on the managers of the companies that have treated your patients as something less than human beings.
Nevertheless, I'm still concerned that a diagnosis of PTSD may be misapplied in these cases. Please help me to understand how the criteria applies to non-violent workplace situations.
As I've mentioned in our earlier transactions, my work environment sounds dramatically different than that with which you have experience. I wonder if geographically-defined work cultures somehow might be operant in these cases. Specifically, are these companies privately held? Are they located in the "southern" parts of the country? Are the managers educated people, or have they been brought up through the ranks of the "uneducated?" How about top management?
Thanks for not giving up on me. The older I get, the more I realize how much I don't know.
